Hello Summer!
My sister finished her junior year of college last week so we celebrated by going to a pottery studio.  We went to paint, but found out that the studio also does glass fusing.  My sister and mom decided to try it out and it turned out so cool! I'm definitly going to try it next time.  Anyway, we had a lot of fun, and it was a great way to start the summer.  Here are some pictures of our work.

Sister love.
My sister is visiting at our house for a few days, so we took out the pastels and glitter pens and had a lot of fun.  We have been working at night, and sitting with her and creating with her is one of the best feelings.  The first two pictures are mine.  One is just a doodle I did in my new artist's journal, and the other is me going crazy with the pastels.  Pastels are one of my favorite mediums, and I got my sister hooked.  The next two pictures are her work. She practiced different pastel techniques and I thought they turned out great.  Looking forward to more art tonight.

 Yay for glitter pens!

 So therapeutic.

What does love mean to you?

Not all who wander are lost.

So much fun.

Simplicity.
Flowers are beautiful and so much fun to photograph.  I think we all can agree on that.  But today as I was walking through the park with my mom, I tried to look for beauty in a simpler form. And I found leaves. When many people think of leaves they think of just a plain green plant. Nothing too exciting.  But if you look a little closer, you can see the beauty and grace that is a leaf.  Here are some shots from today.

 Dare to be different.

One leaf left.

My favorite.

"Posh" Eye
I bought a new book, full of great eye makeup ideas, and I was so excited to look through it.  There were so many eyes to choose from, and I love them all! I enjoy experimenting with makeup so this has been a lot of fun.  I was wearing a brown and gold dress yesterday and decided to try one of the looks named the Posh Eye.  For this eye you will need an eyeshadow brush, eyeliner brush, mascara, and three eyeshadow colors: brown, green, and gold.  Start by brushing the green shadow on your whole eye lid, and stop a little before you reach the crease.  Then brush a chocolate brown shadow in your crease.  Do not go higher to the brow bone! Stick to just the crease.  Using the brush, gently blend the green and brown.  Next, take the eyeliner brush and line beneath your eye and then add a little to the inner corner of your eye.  Finish with mascara, and there you go! A beautiful look for day or night.

Try your best to blend the colors.

The gold adds a pretty sparkle.
